studs belts

When I saw this Sonya Rikel belt (left) at studs belts Madison I fell in love, it reminded me of the studded belt from Sex and the City and thought it would be the perfect addition to vamp up my wardrobe. Then I looked at the price tag…I couldn’t Lv belt justify the 0 but could rationalize buying some materials and making my own version. I studs belts headed over to the fashion district, purchased metallic studs (.00), 3 yards of black Lv belts material (.00) and pliers (.00). For and an hour of my time I now have my own!

Materials: 2-5 (depending on your size) yards of black fabric 1.5” wide, square metallic studs, white chalk/crayon/pencil, yard stick, pliers, scissors. Once Lv mens belts you’ve cut your piece of fabric lay it flat against your ruler/yard stick. Measure 11” in from studs belts both sides and mark. Place your first set of studs at the 11” inch mark (The Sonya Rikel belt has one stud every inch or so but I used two to make it a bit more my own).

Hold your ruler at the beginning of your first set of studs and make a mark 2” away. This mark will act as a guide for the edge of your next set; line up your Lv belts for men next studs so that the end of the stud hits your markings. Continue measuring 2” after you finish each set. I don’t recommend marking it all in advance, it’s very easy to get off guide and the belt may look a bit too homemade if your measurements are way off. Stud until you Mens lv belts hit or are close studs belts to the other side at the 11” inch mark. Fold over the ends of each side about half an inch and sew closed to keep the belt ends from fraying.
