Saturday I had my yellow belt test. It was a lot of fun. At first, I couldn’t breathe due to my flue, but when they moved Lv belt us into the smaller belt crystal room without the draft from the open doors, things got a lot better. The way people had talked about the test, I expected things to be a lot worse. I expected that the instructors would be heartless and Lv mens belts mean, make you do too much work, and then try to trick you into making mistakes to point out how bad you are. It wasn’t like that at all. It was more like they wanted you to see how much you could do. Sure, there was work, sure there were challenges, sure I made a couple of mistakes, but everyone was so supportive. The instructors really did want you to do Lv belts for men your best. I just wish I hadn’t been sick, I would have enjoyed it more. A lot the credit for how well I did goes to my instructor. I feel my instructor completely prepared me for the test. He is a really good, yet subtle teacher.
